When nature is covered with a misty blanket, it's almost like being in a magical landscape. Like in a fairytale. This painting is inspired by an experience like that. We were on a trip to the Dutch Veluwezoom when the purple heather fields were blooming. It was beautiful! I loved the way these fields full of heather were surrounded by pine tree woods. And when the sun broke though the fog, it was as if the fields glowed with warmth.
