"Shifting sand", 50x40cm oil painting
Sand is always on the move. You don't always see it, but all those tiny grains of sand are often lifted by the wind and carried elswhere. In this way, the landscape is always changing and moving. Like nature itself and like we do. The thing is that these changes mostly don't go overnight and that we often miss it, because our eyes can't see it. But there's lots of beauty in these changes. And it's something we should embrace more: don't be afraid to change, don't be afraid to loose what we have, but embrace the everchanging things of nature. When we go with this flow, you'll experience much more freedom.
“The Wanderlust Collection” is inspired by hikes and walks through natural landscapes, inhaling the fresh air and viewing the sky. This painting is inspired by our trip to the Dutch Veluwe. While I personally found inspiration from this place, you may find a connection in this work to another place. How wonderful is that; the beauty of art ánd nature, if you ask me 😉!
“Shifting sand” is a 50x40 centimeter oil painting on a wooden panel.
